Iowa Women’s Basketball | Penn State Falls to 3rd Spot

Penn State and Iowa women’s team had an exciting game. Iowa women’s hold their nerves till the end of game and won the match in style. They won with score of 95-62 and changes the number game for the qualifiers.

First quarter of the game was very crucial. Both teams were fighting hard to take early lead in the game. Hawkers got lead of 10-0 in quick time but opponents came back in the game and reduce the lead margin to 10-5. Almost 5 minutes were left in the ending of 1st quarter. Iowa turns the table with aggressive lead and came ahead with scores of 31-13.

Penn state took their time and decided to hold opponents from scoring big. They worked bit more on defense and didn’t allow them to score easily. Penn state reduce the lead to 33-24. First time they reduce the lead margin to single digit. Hawkers again soars and scores 13 points from the total of 15 points. Second quarter ends with a double digit lead again of 46-26.

In mid way of the game, Iowa looks comfortable but Penn State is known for bounce back. Lady Lions came strongly and dominate the game with marginal better score of 22-19 in this quarter. Hopes were alive for Penn state as they able to narrow the lead with score of 65-48 at the end of third quarter.

Now both teams were heading towards most interesting stage of the game. This quarter was a decider game for the both teams.

Penn State tried hard to outperforms Iowa, but opponents were confident to pull the game again in their favor. Iowa take lead of 30-14 in the decider session and won the game with a final scores of 95-62.

Penn State slips to 3rd spot in the league stage. They will be looking after their next game which is going to be played on 17th of March. Super Sunday is set for yet another exciting game.
