Karl Anthony Towns Scores Record 62 but All in Vain

Karl Anthony Towns won hearts with his record high performance but could not able to won game for his team. He scored brilliant 62 for his franchise, 44 points came is first half of the game. His efforts didn’t paid off because Charlotte Hornets reduced the deficit and beats Minnesota Timberwolves by 128-125 in a very close game on Monday night.

4th Quarter was not so smooth for towns as they scored only 4 points on 2 for 10 shooting. Timbers were outscored badly in the game with score of 36-18.

Head Coach Chris Finch wasn’t happy with the defense of his team Timberwolves. He quoted it as immature play of basketball game. His team should have played better when other team was showing the aggression.

Towns were outstanding in the game as they owns top 3 scoring output in history of 35 years. They scored 21 from 35 from the floor with 10 for 15 from range of 3 points.

This was the 21st times in the history of NBA when a player scored 60 plus points the game, but his team still lost the game.

Towns are also worried about loosing the game after scoring 62 points. They are looking forward to close the game in winning. Ultimately winning the game for team is more essential then anything else.

Wolves were in lead of 69-64 at the end of first quarter. A total of eight 3 pointers were scored in the quarter which is a record in NBA history. Previous record was 53 which was shared by George Gervin and David Thompson.

Miles Bridges and Brandon Miller were top performers for the Hornets with scores of 28 and 27 respectively. However they lost 7 out of 8 games which was 3rd worst performance of Eastern Conference. On other hand, Minnesota lost 2 games back to back in this season.

Finch is considering this game as immature and they deserve this result. They have to respect the game in a better way to come back stronger in the game.

Season is full of excitements with game changing performances.
